Samoans have established themselves as one of Cardiff’s up and coming talents, creating a collection of intricate, yet melodic songs. The band have worked relentlessly, gradually building up a dedicated following with their distinctive style of progressive math-rock. Live shows are notorious for their energy, fretboard mastery and exhaustive drumming.2011 has seen the band release their debut single ‘Somersault’ on Barely Regal Records with fellow Cardiffians, Strange News From Another Star, release a limited run of split cassettes with Nottingham’s Without Maps on 49s versus Dolphins Records and record their first BBC Radio 1 live session. With a new E.P. on the horizon, things are looking bright for these 3 ‘pacific islanders’.
