“Wickes are a rarity in music today, a band that exist simply to create a harmonious racket.
Made up from various members of the thriving Cardiff and Midlands indie scenes they combined forces earlier this year to create Wickes, music indebted and in love with the likes of The Beatles, Let’s Wrestle, Weezer and Woods.
In June they recorded their debut album, a delightful blend of orchestral pop music, shoved in a cave and with vocals sweet as honey, underwater drums and a noise rollercoaster’s worth of feedback.
They have already received Airplay on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio Wales, BBC Radio Cymru and BBC 6Music and are ready to take their blend of Spazz Pop to the live arena
